[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]No words are enough to describe the work of Nurullah – beautiful, amazing, and so -instantaneously done. Not long after I saw his work did he come up with this amazing work that is so wow![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][image_with_animation alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self” image_url=”3338″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Nurullah Güllü was born in 1986 in Turkey is a Search And Rescue expert by profession. No one knows what ingenious work he can create with the pen on first look. He says he likes getting involved in several extreme activities such as sky diving, snow boarding, skiing, scuba diving, mountain bike, mountaineering and some others related with rescue missions, but calligraphy gives him the greatest pleasure that he could never have found elsewhere.

It is an indispensable passion for me and most importantly it’s the way of expressing myself.. I love calligraphy and lettering..

I ask..” title_align=”separator_align_center”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]

I met with calligraphy at high school in 2002. My Galvanizer was our literature teacher Mr. Erhan Altunok. He was a talented orator and calligraphist. One day I saw him writing some names beautifully on A4 papers with an Edding 500 pen in the middle of a dozen of students. I got very impressed with his talent. The flow of the pen on the paper was awesome. I requested a piece with my name and he made a fast calligraphy for me too.. I really loved that piece.. Adn I said; “I can do it..” The first thing i did was to buy an Edding 500 pen for myself.. For the next two years i did nothing, but imitate his calligraphy with that pen.. I became a professional calligrapher of my own name:) with his style.. Afterwards Ibought some calligraphy books searched internet for different fonts and tried to learn calligraphy. And after 10 years here I am:)  I’m a self taught calligraphist. In conclusion I can say everything started with an A4 paper:) thanks to my galvanizer Mr. Altunok.

You can see several kinds of calligraphy in my gallery. Such as Gothic, Italic, 3D lettering, brushpen even typography.. Novadaws Arabic calligraphy, which i find fascinating, is my number one priority. For the last 6 months I’ve been taking Arabic Calligraphy (hat) courses from Arabic Calligraphy Master (Hattat) Mahmut Şahin.. Arabic Calligraphy is called “Hat” and an Arabic calligrapher is called “Hattat”. Hattat Mahmut Şahin  is a dedicated hat master living in Istanbul/Turkey and has precious works..[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I use bamboo reed for  traditional arabic calligraphy and several kinds of pens for Latin calligraphy.. Pilot Parallel Pen, Hi-Text, Edding and Artline are my favourite brands..[/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=”3342″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” delay=”200″][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_text_separator title=”When creating each work, do you sometimes get short of ideas? Well, I don’t usually force myself to create something.. They come into my mind created and my hands just do their duty 🙂 Inspiration is a matter of combination of different issues like time, place, emotions etc.
When the right time comes at the right place with the right emotions. But creating specific items requires being well organized and scheduled because i think the good work depended not only upon motivation or inspiration, but also it follows a consistent pattern and routine. It’s the mastering of daily habits that leads to creative success, not some mythical spark of genius. It is said that habits and schedules are important because they “free our minds to advance to really interesting fields of action.” If you waste resources trying to decide when or where to work, you’ll impede your capacity to do the work.

My short-term goal is to complete my education of Arabic calligraphy (hat) and get certified by my master.. My long-term goal is to open an art school to teach young people everything i know, and raise new artists.  It would be a great pleasure for me to encourage and inspire young talents and make them start calligraphy.

Hardworking and dedicaton is the main point. And don’t forget: Practice Makes It Better :)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_text_separator title=”What motivates you?” title_align=”separator_align_center”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]My biggest motivation is to watch my own creation complete and successful. I am my own motivator![/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_text_separator title=”What has been your biggest hardship as an artist? How did you overcome it?” title_align=”separator_align_center”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]As I mentioned before, I’m a self taught calligrapher and this brings some problems. It is difficult to learn something and succeed with your own struggles.. In other words lack of an instructor and navigator was my biggest hardship.. This slowed down the process, but I bought several books and watched videos about calligraphy, Above all worked so hard and practiced a lot to improve my style..[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” interval=”3″ images=”3346,3344,3343,3340″ display_title_caption=”true” layout=”4″ gallery_style=”3″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self”][vc_text_separator title=”Now isn’t this so inspirational and the work so astounding?” title_align=”separator_align_center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
