A Fashionable Afternoon Tea At Sheraton Grand Doha

Not every place I visit is via an invitation or sponsored. I also visit places by myself without disclosing that I am a blogger. This way I know how authentic a service is! It’s only that I don’t get enough time to pen them down but, I promised myself I would pen down the experience I had here.

Having seen really cute pictures of the Afternoon Tea at The Dome in Sheraton, myself and a friend decided to try it out together. The beauty inside the dome is something you can only keep admiring every time you go- the lights, the sounds of the fountains, and the beauty that surrounds you is not easy to put down in words.

We were shown to our seats, and without much delay, the Afternoon Tea was setup for us. It was literally like eating from your fashion wardrobe. There were all things from heels to boots, handbags, and shirts.

The setup was very artistic, very well put together – a befitting place for fashionistas to gather over for a meeting. There is a lot of selections to choose from both in terms of savouries and sweets.

Here’s my breakdown of the ratings:

Presentation: 5.0 ( I haven’t seen a more creative Afternoon Tea setup in Doha)

Taste: 4.0 ( There were hits & misses. Some of the biscuits were too sweet, but some of the savouries, and mousse were overly delicious)

Service: 3.5 ( No menu was offered alongside the Afternoon Tea which was a huge disappointment as I really like to know more about what I am eating especially its name at the very least)

Value for money: 4.0 ( It is quite expensive. If everything is to perfection, maybe I would agree to having pay the current amount without even blinking my eyes twice. But, as is now it still needs improvement)

I’m not much of an afternoon tea person but those high heels and bags look too cute! How expensive was it? And is it even allowed to not have a menu of what you’re eating? What if you’re allergic to something? They should have a list of what they’re serving just in case.

To be honest, I like going on my own to restaurants rather than getting invited. It’s much stress-free and you get the real deal of their service.

It was 340 QAR for the whole set. Yes, true that about allergies. Especially considering the place where it is being served, there can be no compromise on service. At The Ritz, and Four Seasons you pay nearly half of the price for one set. It’s true! Going by ourselves is hassle free but I wish I had more time to write about those experiences 🙁

Ever since I came to the UAE, every day has been busier than the other, then I checked into my room at Movenpick JBR today and instantly felt very relaxed.
This sunset is a testament to it, isn't it so pretty? What do you think?
