If you have been craving to eat at a Mexican Restaurant that doesn’t cost you a house, and still does an incredible work of placing amazing Mexican dishes in front of you at an affordable rate, your wish has come true. Internationally Recognsed as the Father of Modern Mexocan Cuisine – Chef Richard Sandoval’s newly opened Isla is a must- try out if you are heading to the Pearl. Having been invited to try out the restaurant before it officially opened, and give my reviews on the food, here’s some of my favorites that were served that evening. Sure, this won’t be a miss if you are going there the first time, and don’t know what to pick off the menu.
Queso Fundido – I could have gone eating this continuously, if I knew there wasn’t anything more to try off the menu. Yumminess!
NY Steak A Lo Macho – Deliciousness served in a plate – Just amazing!
Enchiladas de Pollo – Not exactly my kind of thing, would say it would make a standalone meal by itself. The serving was big, and yes, it was delicious by all means – just not my pick. However, I thought I’d still share it here – for those who wanted to have a glimpse of the serving.
And then the dessert platter – beauties served right before your eyes – the right serving size, and the perfectly sweet ending to the evening that day.
Pastel De Elote, Traditional Churros, and A scoop of Ice Cream – all clear winners from the night – and an absolute must -try.
Savour authentic Mexican street comfort foods in a cassual and fun atmosphere.
